Shop the Spoonfed Way!

Ever wanted a lobster hat and mittens set? Or a pillow shaped like an elephant? Ha! Silly question, of course you have. Well you'll be glad to know that Spoonfed have curated a wonderful online shop over at Culture Label, where you can purchase all of the aforementioned and loads more cool stuff (like a mermaid sleeping bag, obviously).

We're gearing up for festival season already here at Spoonfed HQ, so we loved the news that Bobby Womack will be playing Lovebox this year. On top of that there was also a headliner announcement from SW4. Is it too early to buy sunglasses?

Back to grey old February for a moment. We reviewed the big new Picasso exhibition at Tate Britain, and also went down to the Vault Festival, a menagerie of theatre, film, opera and art in the labyrinth that is the Old Vic Tunnels.

Plus, we met Alasdair Hopwood of the WITH collective to find out more about his strange new False Memory Archive.

Friday 17th

An exhibition opens this Friday charting the relationship between one of the pillars of Modernism, Piet Mondrian, and Ben Nicholson - a major name in British twentieth century art.

Skrillex's massive Brixton Academy shows may be sold out, but dubsteppers can still get tickets for the afterparty, with Zane Lowe DJing both nights and Ed Banger hero SebastiAn playing Saturday.

Or if all that sounds a bit much, chill out with some romantic cinema pop-up business at The Other Cinema.

Saturday 18th

Head south of the river this Saturday for Brixton's Retro and Vintage Market (they've got tea and cake, apparently).

House music royalty comes to London in the form of Joe Claussell, who's at East Village with The Revenge.

And the Just For Laughs Showcase is back at the Pleasance, seeking out the best up-and-coming comedians that the UK has to offer.

Next week

There are so many ace looking gigs next week we don't know where to start. Firstly, Kurt Vile brings his brand of laid-back Americana to KOKO on Tuesday, who are also hosting The Jezabels on Wednesday. On Thursday our pick is Pulled Apart by Horses for some angry, amp-melting rock riffs and alt-noise.

There's food for thought on stage next week, My Father and Other Superheroes explores one man's relationship with his absentee father, meanwhile GOD/HEAD deals with the issue of faith.

The N2o comedy festival rolls into town next week, with some ace comedy shows including some of the highlights from the 2011 Edinburgh Festival, as well as previews for this year's, with all new, never-seen-before material

Finally, from Wednesday the Hayward Gallery take a mid-career look at the work of political artist and Turner Prize winner Jeremy Deller.
