Get ready for the weekend!

It's Thursday! Which means it's time for the Spoonfed newsletter to jump out like the proverbial jack-in-the-inbox, full of cool stuff to keep Londoners busy this weekend. This week we've got games, carnivals, clubbing, street markets - it makes us want to dance around the streets like Mary Poppins.

The huge Leonardo Da Vinci exhibition has got the art world talking this week, read our verdict here. Also while we're on the subject, lovers of art (or free booze...or both) take note - Spoonfed have an extra special event at the Royal Academy this Saturday.

In the music world, the Stone Roses carnival continued this week with some big festival news, we're looking forward to Crunch Festival next week with British Sea Power, and we're pretty excited about this free pop-up gig on Saturday.

Friday 11th

For a really, really fun way to spend your Friday night, check out Hounded - a real life game of cat and mouse around Soho.

An exhibition of royal manuscripts opens Friday at the British Library, and if you're planning on checking out the London Jazz Festival this weekend, don't forget to read our handy guide to the best bits.

Saturday 12th

Support the local community while buying loads of cool stuff at the Brixton Makers Market this Saturday, or partake in some good old fashioned pomp and circumstance at the Lord Mayor's Show.

Infamous after-hours party Jaded celebrate their 7th birthday at a secret location, and drum n bass goes head to head with dubstep at this awesome looking party featuring Emalkay and Goldie.

Next week

Topographists unite! The Art of Mapping starts on Monday at the Air Gallery, and actually looks pretty interesting. Another exhibition we like the look of next week is £9000, which sees London's art students reacting to the rise in tuition fees.

For a night of glamour, gore and cabaret, we suggest cult cinema club Amy Grimehouse at the Book Club on Wednesday.

The gigs we're looking out for next week are Summer Camp at Dalston's Efes snooker hall, and some synth-pop from Washed Out on Tuesday.

Brilliant 90s double act Stewart Lee and Richard Herring both have big solo shows opening next Tuesday. Lee's at the Leicester Square Theatre, Herring's at the Soho Theatre. We'd recommend both.
