Come on the Reds!

Oh wait, not Ryan Giggs... A couple of weeks ago we brought you a brand spanking new Clubbing homepage. Well now it's time for Live Music to take its place in the sun too. This is the place to go for all your London gig news, interviews, reviews and competitions. To celebrate we're offering you the chance to win tickets to Hadouken! Which is pretty wicked, if you like that kind of thing...

In other news, Flight of the Conchords are coming! It's also International Women's Day on Monday, and we've got an insightful interview with orange-wigged See You Next Tuesday founder Annie Saunders. For comedy fans out there, Udderbelly are returning to the capital with the likes of Alexei Sayle and Arthur Smith in tow. Fabric is hosting a non-stop 30 hours of clubbing mayhem whilst a super-chic new events venue is opening inside Battersea Power Station,

Plus, Joanna Lumley AND Niles Crane are starring in La Bete in June – amazing, right!

I actually couldn't love Ed Banger more. They have made the French electro sound their own and quite simply do it better than anyone else. Their 6 1/2 birthday last July with surprise guests Justice was a complete sellout. Tonight they return in earnest to celebrate the big seven. They bring SebastiAn - one of the best producers in the world

After their jawdropping birthday party which carried on for three days, London's best club throws its doors open for round two. They open at 11pm tonight, and don't close again till 5am Monday morning. The line-up will be added to in the coming days but I think you'll agree - it's already looking AWESOME. It's not a sprint it's a marathon!

Prepare to be amazed as Chris Cox, the mind-reader who can't read minds, brings his award-winning show to the Pleasance Theatre for a short run.

Using a mixture of guesswork, illusion, psychology and comedy; Chris will show you how the mundane can be magical, how you can always guarantee a seat on a train and make the objects of your desire find you irresistible.

He already knows what you're thinking. See if he's right.

Tuesday 9th

The Factory move away from traditional theatre and challenge their audience to look at performance in a new way.

In 2008 they brought us Hamlet with no costumes or props; in 2009, The Seagull with no script; and now, with Round 2, The Factory brings us a production with no characters.

Each week brings a variety of news scripts performed by different actors guaranteeing a unique experience every time.

Wednesday 10th

An extravaganza of comedic tomfoolery is in store for lucky patrons this evening, as the London Word Festival presents 'One Hundred Days to Make Me a Better Person' at recently revealed East London location.

The show is the brainchild of inventive comedienne Josie Long, who has pooled the talents of a team of fellow side-splitters and performers for one big social experiment in creative betterment - all in the name of comedy, of course.

With Spoonfed favourite Sara Pascoe resurrecting the art of letter writing, and Peepshow star Isy Suttie working on a special artwork, there are sure to be plenty of amusing tales to be told, plus some brilliant interaction from some of our finest young comics. Unmissable.

Thursday 11th

The Spring edition of the Affordable Art Fair hits Battersea Park this week with the usual range of art across all media on sale for between £50 and £3,000.

There's a good combination of established names and emerging talent. As ever, this is a great place for collectors (from entry-level to experienced) and for any fan of art whatever your income.

Friday 12th

Hardcore superstars Shai Hulud headline the Purple Turtle in Camden tonight. The Florida band are now into their 15th year, and are seen as pioneers of the 'metalcore' genre which fused elements of hardcore punk and trash metal in one giant cacophony of eardrum-splitting noise. Join them tonight for a rare London date.

The mighty Together disapeared when Turnmills saw the wrong side of the wreckers ball. But now, praise be, the genre-blending effervescent party is back with a bang! They throw the first in a series of sixteen parties at the Coronet.

Tonight, Mylo, Sub Focus and Zombie Nation fly their respective flags. Plus Durrr head honcho Rory Phillips spins the wheels and the brilliant Crystal Fighters play live.

Welcome back.

The Hyp! Hyp! Hyp! crew have pulled off a real coup. The legend that is Claude Von Stroke will be in session spinning out his best selection of bleeps and beats for a loving crowd. Strong support comes from label mate Julio Bashmore, Mumdance, Scratcha DVA and the Hyponik squad.

Saturday 13th

A frankly bizarre combination of weird instruments, percussion, found sound and audience participation, Lucky Dragon are somewhere between an art-house noise project and a play date for people who really like Gang Gang Dance.

Playing not one but two shows/installations today at Auto-italia, it promises to be the most fun you've had with a loop pedal in your life.

Created by Belgian choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui with the Shaolin Monks and performed in a set designed by sculptor Anthony Gormley, Sutra is a brand new piece of dance embodying the grace and power of kung fu.

Sunday 14th

The hugely popular Clerkenwell Vintage Fashion Fair returns to town for its second outing this year. There's 40 exhibitors from the UK and Europe selling a range of jewellery, handbags, textiles, shoes, clothes, and hats from the 1800s to 1980s.

The event, which attracted over 3000 shoppers in total last year, has a unique emphasis on the recycling of vintage and designer textiles and clothing for both men and women.

Shoppers can also enjoy a pop-up tea room serving cream tea and sandwiches, an alterations booth to fix up old numbers or vintage purchases on the spot, and vintage hair and make-up masterclasses by Lipstick & Curls.
